Top Tenant Representation Team Joins NAI Capital

Los Angeles, CA October 30, 2018– A top team of brokers led by Gian Starita has joined NAI Capital, announced Chris Jackson, executive managing director of NAI Capital’s San Fernando Valley office. Lucy Hartford, Ken Ward, and Gian Starita join NAI Capital from Colliers International, where they specialized in capital markets and tenant representation in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley.

Gian, joins NAI Capital as Executive Vice President and will become a member NAI Capital’s Investment Services Group. Originally from Boston, Gian provides local and multimarket support to space users and investors. His clients benefit from measurable improvements on operating expenses and contract flexibility. Gian is known for developing strategies based upon a strong financial background, understanding the goals of various stakeholders, and for possessing a strong work ethic. Gian takes a strict no-conflict approach to his representation.

Gian said, “Our motivation for moving the team was strategic.  I have been working for the past year in an exciting niche of the 1031 exchange market known as the 'Cash out Exchange.'  The move to NAI Capital is instrumental to our team due to the large volume of sales transactions NAI Capital completes.  The Encino office is on track to complete somewhere around 110-120 sales this year.  In my first week, communication between the 230+ brokers here has been extraordinary." Ken, joins NAI Capital as Vice President with an extensive background in sales and construction. He specializes in the sale and leasing of industrial properties in the North Los Angeles region. Ken has a diverse client base, working with companies ranging from large Fortune 500 companies to small local businesses. Ken is an aggressive yet respectful consultant for his clients. He is the team member ‘on the streets’ knocking on doors and finding off market opportunities. He is extremely focused on understanding the goals of his clients, and putting their interest above his own.

Lucy comes to NAI Capital as a senior associate with experience representing both tenants and landlords. She brings a resourceful approach to finding opportunities in the San Fernando Valley office market, which has led to successful transactions on behalf of her clients.
