NAI James E. Hanson’s President, William Hanson, Receives NAIOP NJ’s Pillar Award

Hackensack, N.J. (December 20, 2016) – NAI James E. Hanson, a leading New Jersey-based full service commercial real estate firm, has announced that its President, William Hanson, SIOR, was awarded the Pillar Award at the New Jersey chapter of the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks’ (NAIOP) Presidents Awards and Hall of Fame Dinner last month. The Pillar Award honors those whose involvement in leadership roles, advocacy and sponsorship has lifted the profile and influence of NAIOP.

Since its inception in 1970, NAIOP NJ has been the leading organization for professionals in the office, commercial, industrial and mixed-use real estate, and the logistics sectors in the state. NAIOP NJ promotes the sustainable development of the industry in New Jersey while stimulating growth of their memberships’ communities. Members have an opportunity to network with fellow members through a wide range of events held by NAIOP NJ and receive continuing education to ensure that they can foster innovative and creative solutions to the real estate challenges of tomorrow.

“I am honored and humbled that NAIOP NJ has chosen to recognize me as this year’s Pillar Award recipient,” said Hanson. “Being a member of this organization has provided me with a powerful network of fellow real estate professionals and significant opportunities to be involved in my local community. Understanding the important role that NAIOP NJ plays in this field, I am happy to help grow the organization and I am excited to continue my work on behalf of NAIOP NJ.”

“NAIOP NJ’s Pillar Award was created to honor members who set an example of involvement for others to emulate over years of active membership, service in leadership roles, advocacy and sponsorship,” said Michael McGuinness, CEO of NAIOP NJ.  “Bill Hanson’s 12 years of service and leadership, especially his co-chairmanship of our Gala Committee, make him one of the true pillars of the New Jersey Chapter.”

The President’s Awards and Hall of Fame Dinner was held at the Short Hills Hilton on November 7, 2016. The organization presented five awards and two scholarships during the program, as well as inducted its 2016 class into the Hall of Fame.
