Trademark Property Co. to Give The Shops at Highland Village Multi-Million Dollar Makeover

DALLAS (March 3, 2015) – Trademark Property Co., the operating partner for The Shops at Highland Village, has announced a multi-million dollar renovation of the 352,000-square-foot shopping center that includes enhanced common area improvements, upgraded landscaping, new amenities for adults and children, updated facades, and new signage throughout the property.

“When Trademark operates a property, we make a commitment to evolve the shopper’s experience and enhance the surrounding community. The Shops at Highland Village is on a great trajectory with the recent, successful openings of Whole Foods, Grimaldi’s and ThePilatesBarre,” said Terry Montesi, CEO of Trademark. “We want to make the Shops at Highland Village a more inviting environment to shop, dine and gather, which is why we are investing in these upgrades. We want to keep our core customers happy, and attract new visitors and tenants, and give people reasons to visit.”

Trademark conducted an extensive design charrette last summer at The Shops at Highland Village with numerous architects, place makers, the onsite management team, and city officials to collaborate and formulate a strategic plan and direction for the property. Trademark has created an extensive plan to evolve the property and the community a best-in-class place to shop, dine and linger.

“We have many fantastic events and experiences planned for our guests in 2015. With the improvements to the shopping center, we will be able to offer a larger community area, plus our restaurants along this area will be increasing their patio size,” said Kelly Smith, Marketing Director for The Shops at Highland Village. “We have a solid mix of local and national retailers, all of whom are thrilled about the renovations to the shopping center. Thanks to AEW Capital and Trademark, we’re being re-energized and able to offer our shoppers and tenants higher quality amenities.”
