New York, NY (August 8, 2017) -- CRE // Tech (cretech.com) announced that the 2017 CRE // Tech New York Event will feature a panel of the leading venture capitalists in the space. The panel will be moderated by J. Skyler Fernandes, Managing Director of Investments, Cleveland Avenue. Panelists include Jeffrey Berman, General Partner and Director, Camber Creek, Rich Boyle, General Partner, Canaan Partners, Brad Greiwe, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Fifth Wall Ventures, Mark Goldberg, Principal, Index Ventures, Kurt Ramirez, Vice President, Moderne Ventures and Travis Putnam, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Navitas Capital.

J. Skyler Fernandes is ranked as a Powerlist 100 VC and is the Managing Director of Investments at Cleveland Avenue, a private equity and venture capital fund focused on restaurants, food and beverage brands, and technology. It is also an incubator lab for new concepts and a consulting group with leading industry veterans in real estate site selection, franchising, operations, marketing / branding, and technology.

Jeffrey Berman runs Camber Creek’s New York office where he sources deal flow and coordinates customer acquisition, retention and marketing strategies for Camber Creek’s portfolio companies. In addition to coordinating investments in numerous portfolio companies Jeffrey has served and serves on the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards of same and brings close to two decades of executive experience in the real estate industry.

Rich Boyle of Canaan Partners is a longtime operations executive turned investor who joined the company in 2016 to lead investments in real estate tech, artificial intelligence, robotics and marketplaces. Prior to Canaan, Rich served as the President, Chairman and CEO of LoopNet, the leading online marketplace for the Commercial Real Estate industry.

Brad Greiwe is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Fifth Wall, a VC that connects the world’s largest owners and operators of physical space with companies building revolutionary new businesses at the intersection of real estate and technology. Prior to Fifth Wall, he was the Co-Founder and CTO of Invitation Homes (NYSE: INVH), backed by The Blackstone Group, UBS Investment Bank, Tishman Speyer and Starwood Capital.

Mark Goldberg leads investments in real estate, insurance and financial technology companies in the U.S. for Index Ventures, a global venture capital fund that has invested more than $4 billion over the last 20 years. He was previously at Dropbox, where he held various leadership positions on the business team and helped the company scale from 200 to 1,500 people. Mark started his career at Morgan Stanley in New York.

Kurt Ramirez is a Vice President at Moderne Ventures, an early stage investor in technologies applicable to the real estate, mortgage, insurance, and home services industries. Kurt is responsible for deal sourcing, diligence, and operational improvement of portfolio companies.

Travis Putnam is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Navitas Capital, an early-stage VC focused on making investments in the real estate and construction sectors. Since 2011, Navitas has been an early investor and advisor to many of the sector's leading start-ups and has formed partnerships with several of the industry's most influential owners and service providers.  Current investments include Matterport, PlanGrid, View, Honest Buildings, Comfy, Aquicore and Sweeten. Navitas is currently investing out of its second fund with offices in Los Angeles and Palo Alto.
