--Executive Managing Director strategic addition helps to expand firm’s leasing and sales efforts in key market--
Princeton, New Jersey, January 7, 2013 — As part of an overall strategic growth plan to expand its market share and presence in the region, Colliers International New Jersey announced that 17-year industry veteran Thomas Romano has joined the organization as an Executive Managing Director and will head the Princeton office.
Romano is a well-respected and accomplished executive in the Princeton office sales and leasing markets who has completed transactions totaling more than 3.5 million square feet with an aggregate value in excess of $350 million.
“Colliers International New Jersey has built up a dominant presence in the Northern and Central New Jersey office, industrial, and pharmaceutical markets, and now with our plan to further expand in the Princeton area, we sought out an industry leader who could help drive those efforts,” said Robert Martie, Executive Vice President of Colliers International New Jersey. “Tom has been a top performer in the Princeton market for almost twenty years and his vast market knowledge and numerous relationships makes him a perfect fit to head the Princeton office.”

Prior to joining Colliers International, Romano was a Managing Principal at Newmark Knight Frank's Princeton office. Previously he was a partner in the firm Buschman Partners and GVA Williams Buschman. Additionally, he is a designated Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
Throughout his career Romano has represented a diverse portfolio of companies includingWaste Management, United Way, Northwestern Mutual Life, Gilbane, Mandelbaum & Mandelbaum, GHP Office Realty, Nexus Properties, Brandywine Realty Trust, R. Berman Development, and MLSeven, among others.
