Single-family rental demand creates outstanding opportunities for investors; free educational seminars scheduled in Tampa and Orlando on May 1 and 3

With a current $1.5 billion gross transaction amount pipeline containing SFR portfolios across the nation, the teams at SVN Florida and SFRhub are looking to expand the inventory to $3 billion by the end of 2018.

For the first time in the U.S., rental household occupancy is outpacing home ownership. According to the U.S. Census Bureau in 2016, 53.9 percent of households were rentals. Gross SFR investment market depth was estimated at $3.1 trillion in 2016, according to Amherst InsightLabs, Amherst Capital. Commercial-grade SFR rental investment portfolios recently eclipsed multifamily transactions, according to Joint Centers for Housing Studies of Harvard University tabulations of U.S. Census Bureau statistics from 2013 to ’15. Commercial real estate investors are becoming increasingly interested in the SFR market.
