SVN Alliance Launches with ‘Dream Team’ to Serve Thriving East Central Florida Market

6 Senior Advisors Bring More Than 100 Years’ Experience to 1 Firm

Ormond Beach, FL (July 1, 2016) -- SVN Florida has assembled a “Dream Team” of commercial real estate advisors with more than a century of experience and market knowledge for a new Volusia County office. SVN Alliance Commercial Real Estate Advisors will be led by principal and President Carl Lentz, CCIM, a highly regarded and well-known advisor in the burgeoning Volusia/Flagler counties market.

“SVN Florida has landed an outstanding leader with Carl,” said Jerry Anderson, CCIM, executive managing director of SVN Florida. “He has gathered a team of advisors who are among the most experienced and well-respected in the area, and bringing them together is quite an accomplishment.”

Serving Volusia, Flagler and surrounding counties, the new office is at 1275 W. Granada Boulevard, Suite 5B, Ormond Beach. Each member of the SVN Alliance team has deep roots within the community and is consistently ranked as a top performer in the profession. Several of the advisors have earned or are candidates for the coveted CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation, often referred to as the Ph.D. of commercial real estate.

Lentz, formerly with Realty Pros Assured, has a long history of success in assisting clients in the sale, lease or acquisition of commercial real estate property across Central Florida. During the past decade, he has represented local, regional and national clients for their retail, office, industrial and investment needs.

Joining Lentz as Principals and Senior Advisors are:

Tim Davis, CCIM, was previously with Charles Wayne Properties. In Davis’ nearly 20-year commercial real estate career, he has brokered every asset type in all major property classes, including land, office, warehousing, multi-family, hospitality, chattel property, single-tenant net lease and retail development sites. Well-known in the Central Florida community, his client relationships include regional tenants, REITs, private equity funds, and public lending institutions. In the equity arena, Davis is the managing member of a syndicate focusing on industrial investment property.

Chris Butera was formerly with NAI Realvest. During a career that spans more than 20 years, Butera has been involved in numerous development projects across Central Florida, including oceanfront condos, retail shopping centers, single-family subdivisions and midrise office buildings. A stalwart in the community, Butera also has extensive experience in project management, including site evaluations, acquisitions, entitlement coordination, development administration, contract negotiations, sales and marketing.

John Trost, CCIM, a recognized leader, was previously with Prudential Commercial Real Estate FL. Trost brings more than 30 years’ experience in commercial real estate sales and leasing. During that time, he has worked with developers, financial institutions and property owners to maximize their returns and leverage their time in land and investment property sales from multi-family sites and subdivisions to large and small retail shopping centers, office complexes and church properties across Florida. He also has extensive experience in office and retail leasing to numerous national, regional and local tenants.

Barbara Coomber is an existing SVN Florida advisor and shall continue to manage the New Smyrna Beach office. Coomber’s 35 years of experience in the private and public real estate sectors have involved numerous transactions ranging from real estate marketing and sales, property development and appraising to environmental government acquisitions and funding. Her specialties include land assets, retail investments and leasing, mobile home parks, multifamily, and industrial and office properties.

SVN Florida Senior Advisor Bob Lovelace in New Smyrna Beach will also join the Dream Team. Lovelace began his commercial real estate career in 1983 and has the rare double designation of CCIM and MAI. He specializes in corporate and asset-advisory services, as well as appraising, consulting and brokerage services -- primarily involving office, retail and land assets.

Lentz said he has worked with each member of the Dream Team on transactions over the years and recognized their talents were well suited for SVN Florida’s team-oriented approach.

“SVN offers a great platform for what we are doing in the market today,” he said. “My goal was to gather a team of advisors who specialize in every aspect of commercial real estate. Now, clients will know where to go for the experts who will provide the best service available.”

Lentz said SVN Alliance’s core market in Volusia is booming, with new commercial construction anticipated to reach $1 billion during the next few years. Major activity includes an outlet center at LPGA Boulevard and Interstate 95, the retail expansion at Daytona International Speedway and hotel and condominium projects on the beach.

“With all of us coming together as a team, we can handle this tremendous growth,” he said. “We are now well-positioned for this expanding market.”
