Successful Grand Opening Weekend Events at New Tallmadge OH Community

Tallmadge, OH, September 2016 – It was a big weekend in Tallmadge, as nationally renowned builder K. Hovnanian® Homes celebrated the model grand opening of Woodridge Place, its newest community of single-family homes in northeastern Ohio. The builder kicked things off on Thursday, September 15th, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception at the community’s new model home and sales office. The ceremony was attended by the honorable David G. Kline, Mayor of Tallmadge, as well as other city officials. Executives from K. Hovnanian’s® Ohio Division were also on hand, along with many prospective buyers who had pre-registered for the community’s Interest List and were eager to be among the first to see the community’s first new model home.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony on the 15th, K. Hovnanian® opened the model and community to the general public on Saturday and Sunday, September 17th and 18th. According to Derek Lewallen, Marketing Manager for K. Hovnanian’s® Ohio Division, attendance surpassed expectations for the weekend event.

“We anticipated a good response for this event, based on the volume of inquiries we’ve had since announcing the opening of Woodridge Place earlier this year,” Lewallen said. “But the turnout for the opening of Woodridge Place surpassed all of our expectations. Over the course of the three days, we had a number of new and return visitors visit the community and pass through the model home and sales office, with visitors stopping in consistently throughout each day. We’re also very pleased to note that several buyers went into contract for a new home at Woodridge Place during the weekend event. Response was tremendous for the new model and the community as a whole, which confirms our research showing that there is a real demand for new homes of this quality in this part of Ohio.”

Woodridge Place the latest in a series of new communities opening in northeastern Ohio this year from K. Hovnanian®. Nicely tucked away in the historic city of Tallmadge, the charming new community of single-family homes is dotted with mature tree lines, with preserved areas and rich landscaping. A traditionally styled neighborhood, Woodridge Place offers a tranquil country setting for families who appreciate life at a slower pace.

Buyers at Woodridge Place have a choice of seven all-new single-family home designs that are unlike anything else offered in the area, with open floorplans that feature up to 2,522 square feet of comfortable living space. Homes offer up to four bedrooms, up to two-and-a-half baths, and two-car garages, with sophisticated architectural details and distinguished exteriors. Every home will come equipped with a smart home technology package from Guardian Protection Services*, including a wireless Z-wave communication hub to provide remote automation and control of an included thermostat, for convenience and energy savings. Homeowners may enhance their smart home technology to include other features such as automation of lights and locks, interactive security, video monitoring and other advanced services.

The new model that just opened at Woodridge Place is an Appleton design, a four-bedroom home with an impressive owner’s suite that includes an oversized closet and owner’ suite bath. The home has an open, natural flow that provides easy transitions from room to room. A second-floor laundry room is available for added convenience.

Based on buyer response and feedback earlier this year, the builder also included single-level, ranch-style homes among the floorplan choices offered. These elegant single-story homes (the Pinacle and Loren designs), which were not originally intended for the collection at Woodridge Place, offer comfortable owner’s suites with spacious baths and large closets, a formal home office or library, and many other features.

Families will appreciate the location of Woodridge Place. The neighborhood is convenient for commuters and ideal for children, who will attend the highly rated Tallmadge schools. The community is close to a variety of parks, as well as schools, churches, and plenty of shopping and dining options. A 100,000-square-foot city wellness and fitness recreation center is nearby, offering an indoor walking and jogging track, a spacious fitness center, a wide variety of fitness classes, and four full-sized basketball courts. The Akron area is also home to a variety of challenging golf courses.

The new model home and sales office at Woodridge Place are now open every day: Monday from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., and Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Make plans to visit this fall to learn more about current opportunities in this popular new community. Woodridge Place is located at 201 Woodside Lane in Tallmadge. For directions or for more information, call (866) 903-7151; or visit
