Sperry Van Ness International Corporation Adds Franchise in
Orange County, CA
Sperry Van Ness®/Rooted Commercial will focus on providing expert property management services throughout Southern California
Boston, Mass. — October 28, 2014 — Sperry Van Ness International Corporation (SVNIC), a commercial real estate services franchisor, is proud to announce the addition of its newest franchise office, Sperry Van Ness/Rooted Commercial in Orange County, California. Led by Managing Director Nicholas Ilagan, the organization will focus solely on property management, servicing clients In Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. This will be one of Sperry Van Ness’s few offices that does not offer brokerage and leasing services that the company’s reputation was built on.
Ilagan brings a strong industry background into this venture, serving most recently as the National Director of Property Management for SVNIC. During this time, Sperry Van Ness was recognized as the #8 Top Property Manager, an increase of 4 positions from the previous year. However, this is not Ilagan’s first entrepreneurial endeavor. Ilagan was behind the launch of CTRI Management Services, Inc. the property management arm of CT Realty Investors where he oversaw operations and a portfolio of over $350 million in assets. He also founded and is still an investor in SuiteSearch.com, an online inbound marketing platform for small flexible office space for lease. In 2004, Ilagan was named Chapman University’s Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Joining Sperry Van Ness to launch his latest endeavor was an easy choice for Ilagan. “It all starts with culture,” says Managing Director and CEO Nicholas Ilagan. “As a highly recognized name in the Southern California market for the past 30 years and with strong national brand recognition, the decision to partner with Sperry Van Ness was easy. As I met various Sperry Van Ness Advisors from across the organization, I always left conversations and meetings thinking these were genuinely great people. That made the decision to align with Sperry Van Ness a no brainer.”
SVNIC is the only commercial real estate firm that markets all of its properties nationally to a 100,000-member brokerage and investment community. Producing $8.1 billion in sales and leasing transactions in 2013, SVNIC shared commission fees with co-operating brokers in approximately 80 percent of those transactions. Working with its own competitors to bring the highest bidder to the table allows SVN Advisors to see gains from closing more deals in less time. Advisors also reap the benefits of the SVNIC cloud-based enterprise system that enables easy, on-the-go access to property listings and client contacts; real-time data sharing; and software that allows for the assembly of professional proposals and marketing materials.
“As a Sperry Van Ness office, we are committed to their 10 Core Covenants. Even though we are only providing property management services, the principle behind each core covenant translates.”
