Scout & Molly's Boutique to open 1st location in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Scout & Molly's Boutique will open its first West Michigan location in Breton Village in the spring.

The national retailer is known for having staff that do double duty as stylists, helping shoppers select clothing and accessories that fit their unique style.

Franchise owner Sue Yocum worked with commercial real estate firm NAI Wisinski of West Michigan to find a Grand Rapids location. Yocum anticipates opening doors in March.

"When I first walked into a Scout & Molly's, I fell in love with the welcoming vibe and fun selection of clothing and accessories that you can't find anywhere else," said Yocum, in statement.

"I just knew it would be a great addition to the Grand Rapids shopping scene and I can't wait to open the doors and share this truly warm, relaxing shopping experience with new and old friends alike."

Launched 15 years ago by Lisa Kornstein, the Raleigh, NC- based retailer offers one-of-a-kind stylish clothing and accessories. Kornstein remains involved, but sold a majority stake to FranLogic, a franchise investment company in King of Prussia, Pa, according to The News & Observer.

Scout & Molly's sells mostly designer clothing that moderately priced, between $60 to $350. The chain has grown to 41 locations across 10 states.

The new store will be located in a new stretch of the Grand Rapids shopping center at corner of Burton and Breton, that has been undergoing a demailling. The project is on track to wrap up by the end of the year.

Breton Village is home to a mix of upscale retailers such Anthroplogie, West Elm and jb & me.
