Ryan Peene Joins TSS Facility Services
Peene will oversee strategic development and government affairs for TSS
Parsippany, N.J. – August 14, 2014 – Ryan Peene recently joined TSS and currently serves as executive vice president. His responsibilities include overseeing strategic business development as it relates to the retail and commercial real estate sectors as well as both government and external affairs.
“During the past 28 years, through hard work and quality service, TSS has become a leader in the facility operations maintenance field -- servicing clients in the retail, commercial, institutional (medical and education) and industrial sectors,” says Peene. “I am honored and enthused to be joining the TSS team. I look forward to helping to steer the company towards continued growth and success."
Prior to joining TSS, Peene was an associate at a Trenton lobbying firm where he served numerous real estate and corporate clients, including a four-year stint as the New Jersey government affairs counsel for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) in the Garden State. There, he was tasked with implementing ICSC's legislative agenda, highlighted by the passage of the Time of Application law, Permit Extension Act of 2012, and ensuring that brick and mortar stores operate on a level playing field with online retail counterparts.
In addition, Peene was a delegate to the 2008 Republican National Convention and a member of the New Jersey Council on Local Government Mandates from 2007-2010. A member of the New Jersey Hall of Fame Foundation Board, he also serves on the board of directors of the Hawthorne Boys & Girls Club and is a member of the Columbians of Northern New Jersey, an Italian-American philanthropic group.
Peene is a graduate of Rutgers University where he was an Eagleton Institute of Politics undergraduate associate and earned a master’s degree in nonprofit administration from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
