Rob Brusco Rejoins Windels Marx as Partner
Windels Marx is pleased to announce that Rob Brusco (New York) has rejoined the firm as partner. Rob, a returning alumnus of Windels Marx (1997 to 2004), is a real estate professional with over 20 years of experience and strong industry relationships in the commercial real estate sector.
Rob's experience includes negotiating, structuring and closing complex commercial real estate debt and equity transactions with a particular expertise in restructurings, work-outs and asset management.
Most recently, Rob was a Managing Director at LAMCO LLC (a wholly owned subsidiary of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. created after its bankruptcy filing) where he led several teams responsible for the asset management, restructuring and workout of over $3 billion of real estate positions retained by Lehman following the bankruptcy. Prior to the bankruptcy, he was responsible for originating, structuring and closing mortgage and mezzanine financing, equity investment and line of credit transactions as a Senior Vice President in Lehman's Global Real Estate Group.
During his initial tenure at Windels Marx, Rob led the representation of major investment banks, lending institutions, real estate funds, developers and investors in the closing of over several billion dollars of commercial mortgage loan, mezzanine loan, line of credit, loan syndication, joint venture, acquisition, sale and leasing transactions.
Rob is a member of the bar in New York and New Jersey. He received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1992 and a B.A. from Lehigh University in 1987. Rob is fluent in Italian.
