In an aggressive initiative to launch their new brand identity and create a dynamic environment for their employees, Independence Blue Cross (IBC) hired Meyer Design, Inc. to renovate their 45 floor, 840,000 SF corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, PA. A longstanding Philadelphia corporate icon, IBC is committed to a complete interior building modernization including the overhaul of the 1987 building's lobby, full-floor cafeteria for its 3,400 employees and all office floors.
This five year project, currently in its third year, includes a workplace strategy analysis, brand/culture integration, restack of departments, new departmental layouts and upgrading of finishes to meet their new corporate standards. The completion of the lobby and cafeteria is slated for Fall 2013 just in time for Independence Blue Cross' 75th anniversary celebration.
