CHICAGO, October 27, 2015 – Reed Construction is pleased to announce that the firm’s Washington, D.C. office recently completed two separate interior renovation projects within the Michael Faraday Building, located at 1840 Michael Faraday Drive in Reston, Virginia. Reed was selected by The Chevy Chase Land Company for both projects, which totaled over 6,900 square feet.

Dexisive is a service disabled veteran-owned firm providing IT technical support and consulting services to both commercial and government clients, including the Department of Defense, Department of the Treasury, Department of Veteran Affairs and more. Reed performed a 2,402 square foot interior build-out for the company’s new Reston headquarters, featuring hoteling booths with floating Ceasarstone quartz countertops for temporary workspace. The project also included an IT equipment room with a Daikin unit, a new conference room and glazing throughout to incorporate more natural light into the space. The entire project was completed in less than a month.

Reed also performed a 4,500 square foot build-out for a satellite software development center of The Washington Post. The new office is a modern workspace designed to foster innovation and experimentation of new software for the large media company. Renovations to the space included Clarus Depth Glassboards in lieu of traditional whiteboards, Herman Miller furniture and a large balcony with expansive views.

Senior Project Manager Jeremy Nelson led the construction team for Reed. Hector Fuentes was the superintendent. Architectural services for both projects were provided by Katinas Bruckwick Architecture.
