Reed Construction Announces New Hires in Chicago and D.C.

REED CONSTRUCTION ANNOUNCES NEW HIRES IN CHICAGO AND D.C. OFFICES

                                                                                                                                                                   

CHICAGO, December 3, 2015 – Reed Construction is pleased to announce the addition of seven new team members. Nelson Francis, Erich Springinsguth, Matt Detjen, Jeff Wise, Jessamyn Trocio and Joe Furmanek have joined the general contractor’s headquarters in Chicago. In addition, Drew Goldbranson has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Nelson Francis has joined Reed as the new business development manager, where he will initiate business development efforts for all three of the firm’s construction divisions. Nelson was previously an assistant general manager with JLL, where he oversaw day-to-day operations of a 500,000 square foot commercial office building in Chicago with 50 tenants. He holds a bachelor’s degree in real estate from DePaul University.

Erich Springinsguth has joined Reed’s Interiors Division as a senior project manager. His responsibilities will include budgeting and bidding, assisting with subcontractor selection, generating schedules and oversight of project progress. He has over 14 years of experience in retail, ground-up, commercial and industrial construction and was previously employed with Builtech Construction in Schaumburg. He holds a degree in business from the University of Michigan, as well as a degree in construction management from California State Polytechnic University.

Matt Detjen is a new project manager with Reed’s Interiors Division, where he will aid in bidding, budgeting, subcontractor selection and generating project schedules. He earned a degree in construction management from Purdue University and was previously employed with Power Construction. Matt brings over eight years of experience to his new role, including retail, high-end residential, historical restoration, corporate interiors and lobby renovation work.

Jeff Wise is a project engineer who was previously employed with BMWC Constructors. He has over eight years of professional experience in residential, commercial and industrial construction. Jeff is a graduate of Western Illinois University, where he earned a degree in construction management. He also holds certifications in OSHA and PMP training.

Jessamyn Trocio is a new project accountant in Reed’s Chicago office. Previously employed with G.A. Johnson & Son, she has over 10 years of project accounting experience in both construction and real estate development.

Joe Furmanek is a project superintendent, responsible for oversight of all job site activities including management of subcontractors, quality control, job site safety and coordinating site inspections. He was previously an assistant superintendent with Clayco and has experience in interiors and ground-up construction projects. Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in Construction from Bradley University, and brings over 7 years of experience to his new role with Reed.

Finally, Drew Goldbranson has joined Reed’s Washington, D.C. office as a project superintendent. A former U.S. Marine, Drew has extensive experience in large-scale interiors projects, including residential, healthcare, education and government projects. He was previously employed with Potomac Construction Services in Bethesda, Maryland, a firm specializing in restaurant, hospitality and retail construction.
