Hundreds of leading real estate tech innovators to attend and participate in groundbreaking event in Texas
Dallas, TX (February 23, 2015) – This March, RealTech and Dallas Startup Week are joining forces to present an entire week at the intersection of real estate, technology, and culture. RealTech Dallas: Startup Week Edition commences March 2, 2015 at Common Desk, and kicks off the real estate track for Dallas Startup Week, a five day event series highlighting the intersection between real estate and the exploding entrepreneurial startup culture in Dallas, Texas.
“There has never been a better time to innovate for the real estate industry, and Dallas is truly the best place in the country to do it,” said John Backes, who organizes RealTech and is captain of the real estate track for Dallas Startup Week.
“We wanted to create a track for Dallas Startup Week that felt like the “SXSW of Real Estate Startups,” and build upon the positive momentum we have created that is creating real opportunities for startups, creatives, technologists, and real estate professionals. We have so much talent, momentum, and access to decision-makers here, and we wanted to put it all into one series.”
RealTech Dallas is the only event by real estate startups, for real estate startups, and brings the real estate industry to the Dallas startup community – after an introduction by Elie Finegold, SVP of Global Innovation for CBRE, six startups innovating for real estate will present six minute pitches focused on introducing their innovations to the real estate industry. Drinks will be provided by Minibar and Laura’s events, along with schwag tables from real estate tech startups all over the country.
On Tuesday, March 3 at 8:30am, a series called “ULI FlashTalks: the Future of Work and Real Estate Innovation,” will including local and national topics: Collaborative space design, the living office, the changing way we work, creative spaces, the real estate needs of startups, selling into the real estate industry, beauty and place, and 10 technologies that will rock the real estate industry.
On Wednesday, a creative spaces party bus sponsored by Vela Keller will tour some of the most innovative new uses of space in Dallas, including coworking, third spaces, new downtown tech company spaces, and flexible live/work environments. Immediately following is a happy hour at The Common Desk. Sign up quickly, space is limited.
On Thursday, Michael Sitarzewski of Epic Playground will give a tour of the Dallas Underground Tunnels.
Our participatory 24 hour event “Cultivate: The Next Big Thing in Real Estate” is being hosted and moderated by real estate startup Roam Directories at the Dallas Entrepreneur Center, and will allow an open and diverse group of real estate professionals, creatives, technologists, architects, and entrepreneurs to think up solutions for the future of real estate.
