Real Estate Education Center Welcomes Leading Real Estate Guru, George F. Donohue, to Instruct New CE Course

12/12/2012

NEW YORK, NY, December 12, 2012 — Real Estate Education Center announced today the addition of a new real estate continuing education course. Best Practices in Real Estate: Contracts, Forms and Agreements will provide real estate agents and professionals with the negotiation tools and techniques to better understand the elements of a deal.

This course will be instructed by George F. Donohue, former president of William B. May Commercial Real Estate, and the World Trade Center’s General Manager of Office and Industrial Leasing of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Mr. Donohue has educated the business of real estate and the art of negotiation to thousands of people, and is sought out by corporations, governments, and individuals worldwide for his knowledge in the real estate business. His 25 years of experience has led to more negotiations than most real estate professionals in the world today.

Donohue will lead the class with the fundamentals of real estate contract law— the types of contracts, forms and agreements, and where they fit into the real estate process. Students will gain a solid foundation in research and preparation before moving on to the basic components of real estate proposals. Once completed, they will master the contracts used prior to an agreement, as well as the ones used for the closing. There will also be a focus on federal, state, and local regulations and fair housing laws with specific relevance to NYS pertinent stipulations.

"We thought it was best to familiarize students with actual documents and real-life contracts," said CEO of Real Estate Education Center, Alexander M. Frame. "Such first-hand insight will enable students to tackle their next big deal.”

Starting on January 10th, 2013, this 8-week class will be offered at the Real Estate Education Center in Manhattan only, and will run every Thursday. Students who complete the course will receive 22.5 hours of real estate continuing education credit.
