Podolsky | Circle CORFAC International Leads the Charge to a Greener Future; Installs EV Charging
Increasingly, consumers are daring to make the commitment to move away from gasoline powered vehicles to those that use electric power. Doing so takes a measure of conviction, commitment and investment.
For some the motivation to go electric is a strategic decision to avoid dependence on oil and the cost associated with paying anywhere from $3.00 to $3.50 per gallon of gas at the pump. Others make the decision because of a desire to be more environmentally friendly and to leave a smaller “footprint” on the planet.
Because of the relative newness of Electric Vehicle (“EV”) Charging, embracing the concept can be challenging; very few commercial real estate owners or parking facilities currently offer EV Charging at their facilities.
One notable exception is 1755 Park Street in Naperville, a CP Highlands owned and Podolsky|Circle CORFAC International managed Class A office property. To support a number of forward thinking tenants, the owner and property management team recently purchased and installed two EV Chargers on site. EV Charging is now available to the three-story, 38,000-square-foot building’s tenants and their guests.
According to Podolsky|Circle’s Managing Principal, Randy D. Podolsky, SIOR, “As a full service real estate advisory firm we are always trying to stay on the cutting edge. When we see an idea that is fundamentally sound and makes good sense, we embrace it.”
Podolsky added that the firm believes it is important to make resources available to those who are trying to promote social and environmental responsibility, as the entire Podolsky team has done for almost four decades.
