OMAHA ATTORNEY RECEIVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION FROM THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF REAL ESTATE LAWYERS FOR SHAREPOINT YEARS IN THE MAKING

OMAHA (November 2, 2015)—Omaha Attorney H. Daniel Smith has been honored with the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) Award of Achievement for his work affecting law practices across the United States. The honor was announced at the ACREL Annual Meeting Saturday, October 24, 2015.

Smith, principal attorney from Smith Gardner Slusky Law, and fellow award recipient, Washington attorney Gordon Tanner, worked together over a three-year period to develop technology for the new ACREL website through which ACREL Fellows from all 50 states can share information, forms and case law.

Jerry Slusky, a partner with Smith Gardner Slusky Law, says this is very unusual for anyone to get this type of recognition from ACREL. “The project Smith’s team completed has been years in the making,” says Slusky, “and will make a significant impact on the way lawyers around the country are able to access important elements to building their cases in the area of real estate law.”

ACREL Executive Director Jill Pace says the team worked tirelessly on the project. “Smith and Tanner put many hours into getting this massive undertaking accomplished,” says Pace. “We were pleased to have them also receive recognition from Microsoft for their innovative use of Microsoft’s SharePoint software, and we just can’t thank them enough for all their efforts!”
