NJAA ANNOUNCES FINALISTS FOR THE 20TH ANNUAL GARDEN STATE AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE BLACK AND WHITE-THEMED EVENT
Association Chooses New Location and Adds Three New Categories
to Reflect Industry Growth
MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ – September 12, 2013 – The New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) is rolling out the red carpet to celebrate its 20th Annual Garden State Awards with a new venue, three new categories, and for the first time, a black and white-themed event.
On Thursday, October 24th at the Hilton East Brunswick, the NJAA will recognize excellence amongst leaders in one of the state’s most valuable industries, multi-family rental housing. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m., the awards presentation and dinner will commence.
Nominations were open to all NJAA members with the opportunity to showcase excellence in more than 40categories including three new awards just added this year:
· Green Building New Construction and Retrofits - to acknowledge the increased importance of eco-friendly design and benefits;
· Industry Rookie of the Year - to recognize those who have excelled during the beginning of their multi-family careers and;
· New Construction Built after 2010 - to celebrate expansion in the multi-family industry.
NJAA members inspect and judge all of the nominated individuals and properties.
“Our 2013 nominees represent excellence in an important industry that contributes $5.7 billion to the gross domestic product for the state each year,” says Jean Maddalon, Executive Director of NJAA. “The Garden State Awards of Excellence is a fun opportunity to recognize the outstanding effort of individuals and our member companies as we all contribute to the advancement of the multi-housing industry in New Jersey.”
Additionally, individuals who have received industry designations through professional development sessions through the NJAA will be recognized and attendees will have the opportunity to network with more than five hundred of New Jersey’s leading rental professionals.
