Nicole LeBlanc of Sidewalk Labs Added to Speaker Roster at CREtech New York Conference on October 16th and 17th


CREtech Announces Yet Another First Time Speaker For One of Their Premier Commercial Real Estate Tech Conferences 

New York, NY (August 26, 2019) — CREtech (, the leading event, content and connectivity platform for the commercial real estate technology industry has announced Nicole LeBlanc, Director of Investments & Partnerships at Sidewalk Labs, as a confirmed speaker for its upcoming CREtech New York Conference being held on October 16th and 17th at Dock 72 in Brooklyn.  

Nicole will join the session, “New Perspectives on Venture Capital,” moderated by Minta Kay, Partner & Chair of Global Real Estate Industry Group, Goodwin. Panelists include Arnie Sriaskandarajah, Partner, Round Hill Ventures; Liz Hartley, Partner, Creator Fund, The We Company; Michael Yang, Managing Partner, OMERS Ventures; and Seth Rosenberg, Investor, Greylock Partners. This group of leading global investors will grace the stage of CREtech for the first time and reveal their unique investment strategies, discuss key trends in commercial real estate tech, and offer an in-depth look at where the smart money is flowing in tech.

Nicole LeBlanc is the Director of Investments and Partnerships for Sidewalk Labs, an Alphabet company that imagines, designs, tests, and builds urban innovations to help cities meet their biggest challenges. She has worked for over ten years as an investment professional in the venture capital industry, with a focus on early-stage financings and ecosystem development. Before joining Sidewalk she was a Director with both BDC Capital and NBIF, investing and managing seed stage startups. Nicole began her career as an accountant in the manufacturing sector, and holds a Chartered Professional Accountant designation.

Minta Kay is a Partner and Chair of Goodwin’s Real Estate Industry Group and a member of its Real Estate Joint Ventures, Real Estate Finance and Hospitality & Leisure Practices. For more than 30 years, Ms. Kay has represented institutional investors, tax-exempts, real estate funds and owner/operators in connection with all aspects of their real estate investment transactions. She regularly advises clients on joint venture formation and restructuring, senior and junior debt origination, acquisition and restructuring, portfolio transactions, development transactions, and property sales and acquisitions.

Arnie Sriaskandarajah is the Managing Director at Round Hill Ventures, a pan-European VC firm investing in companies reimagining the built world. He previously led the corporate venture arm of Capital & Counties (FTSE 250) and was a senior executive at Bloomsbury AI ($30m+ exit to Facebook), The Collective (>$400m in debt & equity financing) & Rocket Internet's HelloFresh ($2.5bn IPO). He is frequently featured on Wired's 100 Most Influential People in Technology and was Forbes 30Under30 in 2016.

Liz Hartley is a Partner at The Creator Fund at The We Company, where she previously led the Strategy team under Jen Berrent, Co-President and former COO.  Prior to joining WeCo, Liz was the Head of Strategy and Product Development for Beats by Dre // Apple, where she led the merger integration of Beats into Apple. Before the Beats acquisition, Liz was Vice President of Beats e-Commerce and Retail, managing Beats’ branded retail and online businesses globally. Prior to Beats, Liz was an Associate Partner with Booz & Company’s Consumer, Media & Digital practice. 

Michael Yang is a Managing Partner of OMERS Ventures leading the fund’s investment efforts in the U.S. Prior to joining OMERS Ventures in 2019, Michael was a Managing Director for Comcast Ventures where he focused on investing in ecommerce and emerging technology sectors such as digital health, VR/AR, IoT, as well as drones and autonomous vehicles.  Some of his investments included KiwiCo, Accolade, Brightside, Baobab Studios, Felix & Paul Studios, August Home, Precision Hawk and Previously, Michael was a VP/GM at Yahoo! and also held operating roles at AOL and Zaplet. He has also been a management consultant with AT Kearney and started his venture career with Atlas Venture.

Seth Rosenberg is an Investor at Greylock Partners. Seth works with entrepreneurs who are building consumer products and platforms from messaging to e-commerce to AR, VR, apps, games, and more. Prior to joining Greylock, Seth worked as a Product Manager at Facebook where he led initiatives for the Messenger Developer Platform. He oversaw the transition from Facebook to a standalone Messaging app, managed integrations with key partners, such as Uber, Lyft and KLM, and launched the open developer platform, with over 30,000 developers. In just two years, Messenger went from 200 million users to 1 billion users.

The 2019 CREtech NYC Conference will be held on October 16th and 17th at Dock 72 in Brooklyn and is expected to attract 2,000 global commercial real estate executives.
