The News Funnel Acquires The CRE App Review

Largest real estate news platform acquires leading real estate website which focuses on new technologies and applications

(NEW YORK, N.Y. – August 4, 2014) The News Funnel, a fast-growing content platform for the real estate industry, announced today that it has acquired The CRE App Review, a popular resource for professionals looking for information about trending commercial real estate technology applications and services.

Since launching in 2012, The CRE App Review has served as a hub for the discovery and discussion of the latest commercial real estate websites and technology. The site was founded by Dominic Zabriskie, who drew on his extensive experience in the real estate industry as a broker, developer and investor. He and his team have authored hundreds of articles covering virtually every new development in the field of commercial real estate technology. Zabriskie will continue to serve as an advisor for The CRE App Review as well as The News Funnel.

The News Funnel will keep The CRE App Review autonomous, but plans to increase the volume of posts in the site’s library, with several members of The News Funnel team contributing fresh content as well. In keeping with the expansion of The CRE App Review’s content, The News Funnel also intends to expand the brand to coverage of residential topics in the near future.

While simultaneously increasing its own content library, as well as that of The CRE App Review, this recent acquisition is reflective of The News Funnel’s goal of remaining the largest content platform in the real estate industry featuring media, company content and blogs. The News Funnel is now targeting additional acquisitions in the real estate marketplace.

“When I saw what kind of media platform they were building at The News Funnel, I knew that I had to get involved,” said Zabriskie. “The sheer amount of information they are providing on a 24/7 basis, combined with the diversity of their content and product offerings, is unparalleled right now in the real estate industry. I am thrilled to be partnering with the News Funnel team to expanding CRE Apps even greater in the marketplace.” Zabriskie added.

“We are thrilled to be acquiring a site with the kind of quality reputation that The CRE App Review has,” said Michael Beckerman, founder/CEO of The News Funnel. “We also have the added benefit of bringing on someone with the level of talent and expertise that Dominic has, which undoubtedly helped him build one of the best sources for commercial real estate tech information out there. It’s definitely an exciting time in our young site’s history.” Beckerman concluded.
