NAI Ukraine: more than 90% of inhabitants of Holosiivskyi district in Kiev prefer shopping at the shopping malls
Consulting company NAI Ukraine has conducted a consumer behaviour analysis of Holosiivskyi district in Kiev, as requested by one of the biggest developers. It emerged that 96% of the district’s residents prefer shopping for clothes and shoes at shopping malls.
When visiting a shopping mall, a resident of Holosiivskyi district on average spends slightly less than two hours shopping, and visits around five stores.
By number of unique visitors, supermarket “Auchan” at the “Ocean Plaza” mall has become the most popular grocery store in the district. More than 82% of Holosiivskyi district residents did their grocery shopping there.
On average, 77% of consumers (in the 18 to 55 age group) visit big shopping malls at least once in half a year.
Despite the vast number of existing shopping malls, there are a wide range of
commodity groups that still have great potential in attracting new customers.
Among those — supermarkets, fitness centres, and clothes and shoe stores.
Beyond that, leisure facilities (such as cinema and skating rink), sporting goods, foodcourts, interior design stores and souvenir shops are currently in high demand.
Commercial real estate of Holosiivskyi district is currently in a state of development.
Demand significantly exceeds supply. Solvent demand of the area has a potential to absorb up to 53 000 sq.meters of commercial real estate.
