NAI Rauch Weaver Norfleet Kurtz & Co. Represents Ecolab’s Latin America Division in the Lease of 19,726 SF at Huntington Centre I in Miramar, FL

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA – June 1, 2016 – Michael Scarpino, CCIM, Senior Associate of NAI Rauch Weaver Norfleet Kurtz & Co., a member of the world’s premier managed network of commercial real estate firms, in association with JR Tomlinson of Jackson & Cooksey, Dallas, Texas, announced today that they negotiated a ten year, six month lease at Huntington Centre I on behalf of Ecolab Inc. – Latin America Division.  The net value of the lease is in excess of $4.3 million.

“This new location will be the Latin America Headquarters for Ecolab, bringing over 50 new high level jobs to Broward County.  Incentives for the move were provided by the city, county and state and this effort was spearheaded by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward Alliance.  Ecolab is a Fortune 300 company that actively seeks to improve the use of water resources and to partner with organizations that support the advancement of responsible use of the world’s limited fresh water supply”, said Michael Scarpino, CCIM, Senior Associate of NAI Rauch Weaver Norfleet Kurtz & Co.  “Broward County was in competition with Miami Dade County, as well as other metro areas for this location, but Ecolab felt that the Miramar location provided the talent pool, infrastructure, diversity, quality of life and airports with ease of access to South America.”

The space has been completely retrofitted to meet the needs of the tenant.  The property is conveniently located just off of Miramar Parkway at Interstate 75 and the company took occupancy of the space in mid- January of this year.

The landlord was represented by Donna Korn and Jennifer Gemma of Taylor & Mathis, Inc.
