NAI Ohio Equities Works with Epicenter to Find The Perfect Space
COLUMBUS, OH – 12/6/16 – Columbus now has a new option for event and conference space. After a year of evaluating commercial real estate options, the team behind Epicenter Event Space is ready to open its doors to interested groups to visit the space on December 13th from 4-7pm.
When they could not find event space they needed, they turned a problem into an idea. Chris Hawker, Sommer Renaldo, and Abraham Alexander made a commitment to opening a large gathering space that could accommodate a mix of uses and superb functionality to the many businesses and personalities of Columbus. As clients of many of the event spaces around Columbus, they experienced the shortage of space and difficulty in scheduling for certain times. They wanted the ability to host over 300 people, large open space, and plenty of parking.
John Mally, an agent with NAI Ohio Equities was able to locate the perfect space for them at 2100 Morse Road. It is conveniently located between I-71 and Easton Shopping Center with plenty of parking and over 13,000sf. “Once we saw the space we knew it would be a great fit. Previously an education center, it had many of the requirements needed for an assembly space and more. I think visitors will be impressed with all the activity on Morse Rd and success of the Northland Development team in bringing new businesses to the area, as it really is a very central location for all of Columbus.”
The space includes a 2,000 SF meeting room, a 4,000 SF meeting room, and two additional break-out rooms. The space is large enough to accommodate 450 people when all rooms are utilized. The space is intended for corporate events of all kinds, including off-site business collaborations, workshops, seminars, continuing education classes, meetings, conventions, parties, and celebrations.
One of the main users of the space will be Next Level Training. An emotional intelligence and leadership training workshop that has previously hosted training at the Columbus Convention Center, the VUE, and other event spaces around Columbus.
“We were often running into challenges finding space when we needed it, and also found many of the spaces to have inconvenient and expensive parking options,” said Zed Clark, general manager of the Epicenter. “We saw an opportunity for a flexible, corporate event space that was centrally located, with easy to adapt, large, open rooms, with plenty of amenities nearby.
The owners worked closely with WSA Studio and Sullivan Builders to open the space up and update lighting and fire codes. The new space is called the Elephant Room. The high ceilings, multiple restrooms, kitchenette, reception area, and private offices, made it a great fit both for Next Level Training and other companies looking for large event space within Central Ohio.
