NAI Ohio Equities Helps Two Dollar Radio Move to 1124 Parsons Avenue
COLUMBUS, OH – 6/23/2017 – Two Dollar Radio, an independent, family-run book publisher and film producer based in Columbus, Ohio will be moving into the space at 1124 Parsons Avenue after searching for over 2 years for a location. The publishing company is owned by husband and wife team Eric Obenauf and Eliza Wood-Obenauf, and their financial partner, Brett Gregory.
“The storefront will provide a physical gathering space for us to engage directly with readers, writers, and thinkers, which is something we typically only get to do at fairs or events,” said Eric Obenauf, one of the owners.
The space, which used to be a confectionery and the South Side Library, will include a bookstore, carrying not only Two Dollar Radio titles, but other books with an emphasis on independently published books. It will also include a café and bar, serving locally-roasted coffee and tea, sandwiches, salads, and dips, cocktails, draft beer, and wine. They plan to continuously offer Hoof Hearted Brewing on tap.
“Our plan is to not only feature cutting-edge literature, but also craft brewers and coffee roasters at the forefront of their fields, and I think Hoof Hearted is a great example of that,” stated Brett Gregory.
John Mally with NAI Ohio Equities worked with the owners to find the space. They landed on Parsons after searching extensively in Clintonville, Franklinton, and Olde Towne East. The 3,700 square foot space includes a large warehouse space, which was something the partners wanted to house their inventory as well as additional room to grow.
Andy Gogan, the owner of the building has been renovating the building for over a year and is now working with the publishing company on final renovations to the space. Lehman Daman is the general contractor and construction manager on the project.
In addition to books, drinks, and food, Two Dollar Radio is also offering memberships for 25% off now until September, when the space is set to open.
