NAI Mobile Brokers Lease for First Charter School in Alabama
Mobile, Ala., April 20, 2017 - Alabama’s first public charter school opened its doors today at the Bel Air office complex located at 3100 Cottage Hill Road in Mobile. ACCEL Day and Evening Academy will serve high school students in grades 9-12 from Baldwin, Mobile and Washington Counties. ACCEL will provide students with a challenging college preparatory curriculum, individualized construction, small class sizes and an engaging use of technology in a safe, supportive environment to ensure students graduate college and career ready.
ACCEL leased the 18,777sf Building Three that was previously occupied by ITT Educational Services in midtown.
“Timing is everything. ITT suddenly closes its doors and within weeks Alabama’s first charter school needs a centrally located educational facility,” stated David Dexter of NAI Mobile, leasing agent for the owner of the Bel Air office complex. “This worked well for both tenant and landlord.” Marietta Urquhart of White-Spunner Realty represented ACCEL in the lease transaction.
