The Missner Group Acquires Former Omron Buildings in Schaumburg
(Skokie, Illinois) – The Missner Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of two, single-story office properties totaling 75,000 square feet in Schaumburg, Illinois. Located at 1 E. Commerce Drive and 55 E. Commerce drive, the properties are situated on seven (7) contiguous acres of land in the northwest suburb of Chicago.
The buildings, 52,000 square feet and 23,000 square feet respectively, were brought to market in 2013 by automation leader Omron Global upon announcing its consolidation and relocation to Hoffman Estates.
“Due to Omron’s need to remove the assets from their books, we saw an opportunity to secure two (2) well-maintained properties within close proximity to the tollway,” said Barry Missner, president of The Missner Group. “We plan to bring the properties back to market either for sale or lease and expect that they will appeal to a wide spectrum of users. The location itself is a strong attribute, but the extra land available at the site strengthens the opportunity as it can accommodate additional parking or building expansions.”
Located a half mile east of the Interstate 90 and Roselle Road interchange, the Commerce Drive properties have been well-maintained with recent interior and exterior improvements. Each building offers a four-stall per 1,000 square foot parking ratio. The ability to offer high density parking is a significant differentiator from the majority of comparable buildings in the area which offer an average of a 3.5-stall per 1,000 square foot parking ratio.
