Massey Knakal Sells Huron Street Pier Development Site
The Huron Street Pier, located on the East River at Huron Street in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint Waterfront, was sold in an all-cash transaction valued at$2,000,000.
The property is the site of a former pier and an underwater parcel. Preliminary review indicates a pier may be rebuilt to its size in 1988, which was approximately 12,500 gross square feet, for a water dependent use. Rebuilding to the former size is a possibility, though will likely need additional approvals. The lot is 160’ x 523’.
This property presents a unique opportunity for waterfront development. It is adjacent to the East River Ferry providing transportation into Manhattan and just two blocks from the India Street entrance to the Greenpoint Avenue G train station.
“This rarely available, privately owned pier site presented our team with an exciting challenge and unique opportunity to play a role in the changing Greenpoint waterfront,” said Massey Knakal’s Michael Amirkhanian, who exclusively handled this transaction with Mark Lively and Brendan Maddigan.
