Massey Knakal Secures Lease For East Village Retail Space
Massey Knakal Retail Leasing Services has secured a retail lease for 6 St. Mark’s Place, located between Second and Third Avenues in Manhattan’s East Village neighborhood. The space will be occupied by Barcade.
The space contains approximately 2,220 square feet on the ground floor with 10-foot ceilings, and an additional 2,220 square feet of lower level space. It features a new build out with vented kitchen and an existing full liquor license. The space benefits from approximately 20 feet of high visibility frontage on the prime St. Mark’s Place retail corridor, located just off the corner of Third Avenue.
The property receives heavy foot traffic from the local student, tourist, and resident populations. Neighbors include 51 Astor Place, Chipotle, Pinkberry, Yoga to the People, Cooper Union, and NYU. Transportation is accessible via the 6 train at Astor Place, the 4, 5, 6, L, N, Q, R and W at Union Square as well as the L at Third Avenue. Additionally, multiple bus lines service the area.
“Barcade is the perfect tenant for this location. I’m thrilled for the landlord that we were able to arrange such an ideal situation,”said Massey Knakal’s Brendan Gotch, who exclusively represented the landlord in this transaction.
"We are very excited to open a Barcade location on St. Mark's Place. We feel like we're a perfect fit and are looking forward to being a part of this iconic block," said Paul Kermizian, owner of Barcade.
