Mark Built Homes Scores Historic Three-peat at NJ Builders Awards
April 2015: Mark Built Homes, a renowned family-owned firm that has been building homes in New Jersey for three generations, has received the prestigious “Community of the Year” award by the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) for a historic third consecutive year. The award was one of eight presented to Mark Built Homes at the 28th annual Sales and Marketing (SAM) Awards Banquet, held March 26th in Atlantic City. The SAM Awards are presented every year by the NJBA to honor excellence in residential design and other aspects of homebuilding in the Garden State.
The “Community of the Year” award is one of the highest honors given each year to only a select few communities and builders that have demonstrated excellence across the board, including overall community and individual home designs. This marks an unprecedented third consecutive year that Mark Built has won “Community of the Year,” following last year’s win for 14 Euclid at Summit Place and a win in 2013 for 50 Parmley at Summit Place. This year’s award was presented to Mark Built for James Place, a new townhome community in Morris Township. James Place received seven other SAM Awards in a range of categories.
Michael Markovitz, President of Mark Built Homes, commented on the firm’s recognition by NJBA. “We’re truly honored to receive these awards for James Place,” Markovitz said, “and proud to stand alongside our homebuilding colleagues in New Jersey to help advance the standards of our industry. James Place is a very special community that reflects our passion for creative design and craftsmanship, so it’s especially rewarding to be recognized for those efforts. We worked hard to design this community expressly for the target market. We strove to ensure that the home designs, finishes, pricing, and marketing and sales strategy would exceed their expectations. Our strategy and implementation were right on target and as a result, James Place is now 80% under contract.”
James Place is the first new collection of luxury townhomes to be built in Morris Township in fifteen years. Since the community opened last year, it has surpassed expectations in terms of buyer response and sales. At James Place, buyers have a choice of six spacious, exquisitely designed townhome floorplans that offer two or three bedrooms, with island kitchens that open into expansive great rooms. Priced from the high $600s, the homes offer from 2,000–3,000 square feet of luxurious living space. The community offers a peaceful, park-like ambience, with acres of preserved land and hundreds of trees planted throughout. The neighborhood will also feature a walking/running trail and an outdoor fitness station for homeowners.
These kinds of special touches and attention to detail are typical of Mark Built Homes. Over three generations, Mark Built has made a name for itself as a prestigious builder of homes that are creatively distinct and architecturally unique, with an unparalleled reputation for craftsmanship.
