Mark Built Homes Honored by National Homebuilders for James Place in Morris Township
March 2015: Mark Built Homes, a renowned, family-owned firm that has been building homes in New Jersey for three generations, was recently honored by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) with a Silver Award for “Best 50+ For Sale Community.” The award was presented during the National “Best of 50+ Housing Awards,” held January 20th at Caesars Palace Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, as part of the NAHB’s annual International Builders’ Show. The awards are presented each year by the NAHB’s National Sales and Marketing Council to honor superior sales and marketing achievements in the homebuilding industry, for age-targeted projects.
The award was presented to Mark Built Homes by a vote of industry peers, in recognition for the builder’s exceptional construction and project strategy at James Place, a new townhome community in Morris Township, New Jersey. James Place is a community designed for buyers who are seeking to downsize. Michael Markovitz, President of Mark Built Homes, commented on this prestigious recognition by the NAHB.
“This is a true honor to be recognized at a national level by our peers in the homebuilding industry,” Markovitz said. “James Place is a very special community that has surpassed our expectations in terms of buyer response and sales. We worked hard to design this community, including the homes and their finishes, as well as a pricing and marketing strategy and a unique purchase process, expressly to meet the needs of downsizing buyers. And we were able to successfully capture these buyers, providing them with exactly what they wanted: a new, move-down home at a price point and home size of about 70-80% of their previous home. I’d like to also thank our partners at CB New Homes, who worked very closely with us on the market research and marketing strategy for James Place. Our strategy and implementation were right on target and as a result, James Place is now 80% under contract and is the best-selling age-targeted community in New Jersey, averaging ten sales per month since opening in February 2014.”
James Place is the first community of its kind to come to Morris Township in fifteen years. Buyers have a choice of six spacious, exquisitely designed townhome floorplans that offer two or three bedrooms, with island kitchens that open into expansive great rooms. Priced from the high $600s, the homes offer from 2,000–3,000 square feet of luxurious living space. The community offers a peaceful, park-like ambience, with acres of preserved land and hundreds of trees planted throughout. The neighborhood will also feature a walking/running trail and an outdoor fitness station for homeowners.
These kinds of special touches and attention to detail are typical of Mark Built Homes. Over three generations, Mark Built has made a name for itself as a prestigious builder of homes that are creatively distinct and architecturally unique, with an unparalleled reputation for craftsmanship. Mark Built is the builder of several other successful developments in New Jersey, including the multiple-award-winning 50 Parmley at Summit Place and 14 Euclid at Summit Place, a collection of luxurious townhomes and spacious condominiums in downtown Summit, NJ.
