IOREBA's Super Bowl Event Sends Positive Message to NJ's Business Community



President & CEO of the NJSEA Says Economic Impact Will Be Grand

East Rutherford, N.J. (November 13, 2013)—Nearly one hundred of the metropolitan area’s commercial real estate community and business leaders were in attendance atthe Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association of the New York Metropolitan Area’s (IOREBA) 2013 Kick-Off Event, recently held at the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel in East Rutherford, N.J.  Wayne Hasenbalg, president & CEO of the NJ Sports & Exposition Authority (NJSEA)was the featured speaker at the event, “The Super Bowl’s Impact & Its Opportunities for New Jersey.”

“New Jersey is fortunate to have attracted several ‘big’ events to the state this year including WWE’s WrestleMania, the return of the Miss America Pageant, and the Super Bowl, a proposed Formula One Grand Prix of America race, and the U.S. Special Olympic Games all in 2014,” said Hasenbalg.  “Under a measure signed into law by Governor Chris Christie, the NJSEA has been repositioned to serve as the lead state agency for the mission of attracting more sports and entertainment events to New Jersey.  One can only look at the projected $550 million economic impact to the region to understand just how important these events can be in generating opportunities for small and large businesses, suppliers of products and services and the tourism hospitality industry,” Hasenbalg added.

“We are excited about the Super Bowl coming to New Jersey in February, and even more enthused about all of activity taking place here in the weeks leading up to the big game,” said Marc Graham, 2013-2014president of IOREBAand senior directorof Cushman & Wakefield of NJ.  “Hosting the big game, as reiterated by Mr. Hasenbalg, will create many business opportunities, and we look forward to the positive results generated within the real estate community,” he continued.
