IOREBA REGISTERS COMPANY NEWS CHANNEL
ROCHELLE PARK, N.J., (November 9, 2012) – The Industrial and Office Brokers Association (IOREBA) of the New York Metropolitan Area announced today that it has registered a Company News Channel (CNC) to begin distributing the organization’s original content directly to users of The News Funnel, a new, free website that enables business readers to create a customized news funnel based on their unique preferences.
The News Funnel launched earlier this year with a focus on the real estate vertical and sources industry-specific articles, press releases, event announcements and market research reports. It is currently offering coverage in three U.S. markets: New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with plans to expandnationally and into other business-to-business verticals in the near future.
With more than 500 business and real estate-focused media sources featured on the site, as well as content supplied directly by the more than 200 corporations and organizations that are signed up for free via the site's CNC service, The News Funnel curates news from the most comprehensive set of sources in the real estate industry.
"At IOREBA, we are constantly seeking out cutting-edge ideas to help our members stay informed not just about our organization’s initiatives, but on the industry as a whole,” said David Simon 2011-2012 IOREBA President and Managing Principal of Cassidy Turley’s New Jersey office. “The News Funnel is a powerful new way for us to get our news out directly to our target audience in the industry. We look forward to using The News Funnel to spread the word about IOREBA to our own members as well as the industry at large."
Michael Beckerman, Founder and CEO of The News Funnel said he was proud to welcome IOREBA to the website’s growing list of companies and organizations that are distributing original content to business readers.
“I created The News Funnel based on my own personal experience of having difficulty managing the enormous amount of online content covering the real estate industry,” Beckerman said. “By giving real estate professionals a free tool to customize the news they want to receive, and by giving companies and organizations, like IOREBA, the opportunity to distribute their content through the site, we are solving a lot of the communications overload problems facing many industries today.”
About The News Funnel
The News Funnel is a free, web-based news aggregator for real estate professionals that sources industry-specific news from trade publications and major media sources. Subscribers create customized news feeds for their geographic market, industry segment and areas of interest that are accessed on their personalized home page or via a daily email.
The News Funnel features Company News Channels (CNC’s) — web pages that are available at no charge to companies to upload press releases, event notifications, blogs and market research reports that are then distributed into the funnels of subscribers. The website also features simple and advanced search capabilities. Aggregated content is stored for six months and users can search this content by keyword, market, industry segment or area of interest.
