EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (MAY 27, 2014)—On Monday, June 23rd, 2013, the Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association of the New York Metropolitan Area (IOREBA), will host the 2014 Jeffrey Siegel Memorial Golf and Tennis Outing at the Essex County Country Club in West Orange, NJ. Essex County Country Club is the oldest club in New Jersey, and the sixth oldest in the country. Rich in tradition, this club is consistently recognized as one of the Metropolitan area’s best.
IOREBA’s annual outing is one of the most popular in New Jersey’s commercial real estate industry. Members and guests are treated to a day of golf, tennis and networking, and are acknowledged with giving back to the community by raising food and monetary donations for The Community Food Bank of New Jersey’s “Move For Hunger” program—a program dedicated to helping fight the nation’s growing hunger problem.
“We are excited to once again host IOREBA’s annual golf and tennis outing. On behalf of our Board of Directors, I welcome all of our colleagues and friends in the commercial real estate industry to join us at this highly anticipated event for a fun-filled full day of activities, and to show your support of our state’s ‘Move For Hunger’ program,” said Marc Graham, 2013-2014 president of IOREBA and senior director of Cushman & Wakefield of NJ. “With so many New Jersey residents who are food insecure—approximately 1.2 million in our state—we look forward to bringing together our industry to help those in need,” he added.
In addition to an outstanding day of golf, tennis and networking, IOREBA will host a lunch, open bar and dinner, and various activities throughout the day. This year there are prizes for golfers on all par three holes including a $10,000 hole-in-one cash prize. Golfers also have the chance to win $5,000 in the putting contest. In addition, there will be a 50/50 dinner raffle and several giveaways. The IOREBA board of directors also will make presentations during dinner, and the incoming president and new slate of directors for the 2014-2015 year will be announced.
Graham added, “This year’s outing is being overseen by a large committee, that is responsible for various tasks required to put on this extraordinary event. Special recognition goes to Jeffrey Furey, Jonathan Glick and Charles Parmelli, whom are responsible for organizing the event’s sponsorship and activities.”
Check-in and registration for the event begins at 11:00 a.m., with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start for the golf tournament. The tennis tournament begins at 1:30 p.m. Open bar begins at 6:00 p.m., and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Pre-register for this event online at www.ioreba.com.
