—New Jersey’s Top Developers and Mayors to Discuss The Repositioning of
EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. (March 16, 2015)—On Monday, March 30th, the Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association of the New York Metropolitan Area (IOREBA), will host its 23rd annual Developer’s Night event at the Marriott at Glenpointe Hotel in Teaneck, N.J. A panel of New Jersey’s prominent developers and politicians will discuss “The Repositioning of Corporate Campuses” within the state. The event begins with cocktails and networking from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner and panel presentation. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Monmouth University Kislak Real Estate Institute Scholarship Fund.
“IOREBA’s Developer’s Night is one of New Jersey commercial real estate’s most anticipated events, and the panel of speakers lined up for this event are some of the most respected in our industry,” stated Adam Silver, 2014-2015 president of IOREBA and Managing Director of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. “The topic of the night—‘The Repositioning of Corporate Campuses’—is an important trend we are seeing across the state as more and more developers are flocking to obsolete office, R&D, and industrial properties, and making key capital improvements geared towards attracting tenants, meeting the needs of a new workforce, and complementing the local communities in which they’re located,” he added.
The speakers for the evening include moderator, Jeffrey Garibaldi, President of The Garibaldi Group; along with panelists Ralph Zucker, President of Somerset Development; Peter Cocoziello, President and CEO of Advance Realty Group; Eric J. Hinds, Mayor of Holmdel and Daniel J. Hayes, Jr., Mayor of Bridgewater Township.
Jeff Garibaldi, one of the principals of The Garibaldi Group, has been with the firm for over 35 years. In addition to his management responsibilities, he is primarily involved in both brokerage and consulting services. Mr. Garibaldi has been responsible for handling a variety of sale/lease transactions for major clients such as Prudential Financial, DRS Technologies, Linde Corporation and NPS Pharmaceuticals.
Ralph Zucker is President of Somerset Development, one of the New York Metropolitan area's foremost real estate companies specializing in New Urbanism and Traditional Neighborhood Design development. Zucker is responsible for spearheading his firm's focus on creating sustainable, close-knit communities that promote pedestrian-friendly “live-work-play” experiences. Mr. Zucker is currently repositioning the former two (2) plus million square foot Bell Labs Facility in Holmdel, NJ.
Peter Cocoziello founded Advance Realty, a real estate development, construction and property management firm, in 1979. Since its inception in 1979, Advance has developed and acquired more than 10 million square feet of commercial, residential, mixed-use and industrial projects. Mr. Cocoziello is currently repositioning the former 1.2 million square foot Sanofi U.S. Research and Development Campus in Bridgewater, NJ.
Mayor Eric Hinds has served Holmdel Township since 2014 and is a founding member and President for the "Hope for Children Foundation", an organization dedicated to helping children and families in need in Monmouth County.
Mayor Daniel J. Hayes, Jr., has served Bridgewater Township since 2011. A former chemical engineer and telecommunications management consultant, Hayes most recently was a teacher of chemistry and physics at Piscataway High School.
“It will be interesting to learn about the collaboration that takes place between two of the state’s most experienced developers and leading township officials in creating a comprehensive economic development strategy which also meets the needs of the local community,” stated Silver.
