Hollister Tops Off Grand Street Residential Building in East Williamsburg, NY
PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Hollister Construction Services, a leading full-service construction manager specializing in residential, corporate, educational, healthcare, industrial and retail construction, recently topped off a 72,000sf, eight-story, 71-unit residential and 11,000sf retail building, known as 774 Grand Street. After breaking ground earlier this year, 774 Grand Street has reached its full height. Made up of a concrete super structure, the new development will open in spring 2016.
"We are excited to reach this milestone and even more enthusiastic to bring to life what will surely be a spectacular building," stated Dean Marchi, managing partner at Grand Street Development. Inspired by the architecture that makes New York City unique, Grand Street Development reinvents the historic warehouse and cast-iron aesthetic with contemporary comforts and conveniences to provide a home people will love well into the future.
774 Grand Street façade emulates 20th century Brooklyn architecture, while its interior will be modern classic. The ground floor will feature retail space and a lobby welcoming residents and visitors as they enter the building. The lobby will be uniquely finished with a feature wall made up of reclaimed lumber. The second to eight floors will all be residential units, providing one and two bedroom apartments. The apartment units feature floor to ceiling windows and are equipped with the latest in high-end appliances. On the rooftop, residents will be able to enjoy various amenities including a yoga garden and barbeque pits. It will also provide residents with a parking garage, electric vehicle chargers and bicycle parking. The residential building is on the same block as the Grand Street L train, four stops away from Manhattan, making the 15- minute commute easy for residents.
“The Hanini Group is ecstatic about the topping out of 774 Grand Street. This is an exciting day as we look forward to the next steps on this modern, world-class project that will reflect the essence of the areas iconic historic look and feel,” stated Samer Hanini, principal at Hanini Group.
