Hollister Team Volunteers at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey

As part of Hollister Construction Services’ ongoing effort to give back to the community, the Hollister team spent an afternoon volunteering at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. More than 90 Hollister employees were involved in the event. Hollister also provided a financial donation to the organization.

“This effort granted us an amazing level of perspective in the community needs of New Jersey,” said Christopher Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Hollister. “Giving back to the community is a core value at Hollister, and we strongly believe the support we provided will have a positive impact on our community.”

Hollister team members volunteered a combined total of 160 hours during the course of a single day, assembling 530 package instruction sets for Seniors in the local community, labeling 3,600 soup cans, and sorting more than 110 boxes of food to be distributed. Hollister donated nearly $1,000 in conjunction with the volunteer effort.

“The day was a huge success,” said Johnson. “We are extremely proud to be a part our wonderful community, and our team greatly enjoyed the opportunity to give back.”

Hollister Construction Services considers philanthropy a core aspect of its corporate culture. In recent months, Hollister has made significant contributions to an array of community organizations and causes.

Hollister has engaged in several philanthropic opportunities, including mentoring local students through the Future Business Leaders of America and the All Stars Project of New Jersey programs, and engaging New Jersey Institute of Technology students in a workshop on the importance of proper time management and budgeting financial resources. Hollister employee, Keith Lovas, project manager, also spent a day volunteering at All Saints Academy in Parsippany, N.J., where he taught preschool, kindergarten and first-grade students how to construct a new school.

Earlier this year, Hollister partnered with Community Blood Services to host a blood drive at its Parsippany headquarters. Hollister reached out to Community Blood Services after learning about a serious blood shortage in New Jersey. Nearly half of the company’s personnel donated blood during the event.
