PARSIPPANY, N.J. – May 14, 2014 – Hollister Construction Services (Hollister), a leading full-service construction manager specializing in corporate, educational, healthcare, industrial, retail and residential construction, recently started the ground up construction of a new shopping center in Kearny, NJ for the owner, Vineland Construction Co. of Vineland, NJ. The Kearny Retail Center is composed of six demised tenancies, five of which were allocated to signatures prior to construction.

Although this is Vineland Construction Co.’s first venture with Hollister, Vineland Construction’s Project Manager, Tim France states, “Hollister’s reputation in this sector of the industry, along with their qualified staff, provides us with the utmost of confidence with their abilities to deliver a quality project. We look forward to completing this project with them and hope this builds the sound relationship we look for with our contractors. “

Hollister is working with the architectural firm of J.W. Pedersen and the structural engineers from HJ Cannon on the 14,400 sq. ft. project which utilizes materials prefabricated offsite and trucked in for assembly in order to tighten the construction schedule. The pile supported building features EIFS panels complete with exterior finishes allowing Hollister to deliver a thermal envelope in just three days.

“This project requires precise logistical planning as the majority of the large materials will be arriving one after another during a short window of time,” explained Project Manager, Anthony Mantini.

Hollister serves as construction manager, design builder, and general contractor, for a broad spectrum of clients in New Jersey and New York and is widely recognized for the firm’s expertise in construction projects for retail use.

Recent Hollister projects include the renovation and addition to the 68,000 SF Tottenville Square Shopping Center in Staten Island, New York, the renovation and ground up pad site construction of Raritan Shopping Center located in Sayreville, NJ, and the interior construction of a Joe’s Crab Shack restaurant, located inside the new Courtyard Newark Downtown located in Newark, New Jersey. All of these projects required extensive logistical planning as the work is being completed while the centers remain open and full of customers.
