GFI Management’s Melissa D. White Awarded Alexandra Jackiw Scholarship to Attend NAAEI Leadership Experience
Powered by Dale Carnegie, Two-Day Course Focuses on How to Successfully Lead, Inspire and Motivate
MARIETTA, Ga. (April 23, 2014) — GFI Management Services, Inc., a leading manager of multifamily properties throughout the U.S., today announced that Melissa D. White, the company’s national director of marketing and training, has been awarded the National Apartment Association Education Institute’s (NAAEI) Alexandra Jackiw Scholarship. The scholarship will allow White to attend the NAAEI Leadership Experience, a two-day program powered by Dale Carnegie and offered in Baltimore, Md., April 30 - May 1.
The scholarship, which is open to minority apartment industry employees, aims to increase the number of minority apartment industry leaders to better reflect our increasingly diverse society.

The education arm of the National Apartment Association, the NAAEI is dedicated to providing broad-based education, training and recruitment programs that attract, nurture and retain high-quality professionals and develop tomorrow’s apartment industry leaders. The group recently embarked on a multi-year campaign to raise $7.5 million to meet these needs by building a set of programs and services to support the identification and recruitment of highly skilled talent.
In addition to her recent scholarship, White was also named to serve on the NAAEI Curriculum Development/Program Administration Committee, which provides strategic direction for the development and delivery of NAAEI education programs.
Some of the major initiatives that NAAEI NOW currently has in progress are FranklinCovey, Dale Carnegie and Gallup leadership development programs; apartment career outreach and recruitment campaign; development of an apartment career eHub and online maintenance, leasing and management training initiatives.
