Real estate finance expert Nils Kok joins GeoPhy as Chief Economist to oversee US business
London, January 12, 2017 -- GeoPhy, the independent global platform for real estate intelligence with offices in Amsterdam and London, today announces the opening of a New York office as part of its continued global expansion. Nils Kok, a well-known Dutch economist and real estate data expert, joins GeoPhy as its first Chief Economist and will head up the North American business.
Nils Kok, the highest ranking Dutch economist at Maastricht University and rated 8th among economists in the Netherlands in 2015, will be responsible for developing GeoPhy’s business in North America, engaging with banks, pension funds and other real estate investors and lenders. He is the founder of GRESB where he worked with over 60 leading institutional investors to assess the sustainability performance of more than 1,000 property companies and portfolio managers. In addition, Nils will have a global role, using the vast amounts of property data which the GeoPhy platform holds to produce new tools for investors in commercial real estate.
GeoPhy today also announces the launch of Alpha, a real-time, interactive dashboard for real estate reporting, granular analysis and portfolio management. Alpha provides institutional investors with enhanced visibility of their portfolios and instant insight for better decision making. This includes information on asset value, location and asset quality assessment, and sustainability, drawn from a universe of more than 10,000 global private real estate funds and listed property companies.
