Evergreen Development Acquires 10.6-Acre Land Parcel at Eastmark’s First Major Commercial Development
PHOENIX – [January 17, 2018] – Evergreen Devco, Inc. , a leading national retail and multifamily development company, announced today it has formally acquired 10.6 acres of land at Signal Butte Road and Warner Road (Point Twenty-Two Blvd.), in Mesa, Arizona, for the development of the first major shopping center in Eastmark, the top-selling master-planned community in Arizona.
The future development site, which was sold by DMB Mesa Proving Grounds, LLC, is part of a Safeway-anchored shopping center. Evergreen plans to break ground on the planned 36,000-square-foot multi-tenant property, which will be called The Point at Eastmark, in February 2019, with an estimated completion date of November 2019.
“This incredibly well-located property will be a high-traffic retail zone that will bring several high-quality stores, restaurants and amenities to the area,” said Mike De Nitto, Director of Acquisitions-Arizona of Evergreen Development. “We’re very excited to start creating a sense of place and community with authentic design and pedestrian access.”
The Point at Eastmark will consist of shops and retail pads, which will include restaurants and services that will cater to the residents of Eastmark.
Eastmark is the top-selling master-planned community in Arizona and one of the best-selling master planned communities in the U.S. It is a +/- 3,200-acre mixed-use integrated community with approximately 17,000 units planned. Located just east of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, Eastmark opened in 2013 with more than 5,000 visitors on opening day and was on pace to sell approximately 1,000 homes in 2017.
