Eleven Jack Resnick & Sons Manhattan Office Properties Attain Wired Certification through WiredScore

06/11/2015

(New York, NY – June 11, 2015) – In their continuing efforts to provide top quality modern office space for technology, advertising, media, information and other technology dependent companies, Jack Resnick & Sons has announced that 11 of its Manhattan office properties have achieved Wired Certification through WiredScore, the first and only provider of a standardized rating system designed to identify, evaluate and certify commercial buildings with the fastest and most reliable internet connections.

WiredScore evaluates a building’s connectivity by examining the number and quality of internet service providers as well as the bandwidth capabilities and reliability of connections that are based on the building’s infrastructure. Buildings that meet or exceed the official set of standards developed by a nationally-appointed Advisory Board for assessing internet services in commercial buildings are awarded a coveted Wired Certification. Jack Resnick’s 11 prestigious Wired Certifications were granted based on the choice, infrastructure, redundancy, resiliency, and flexibility of their broadband offerings.

The WiredScore evaluation process takes around 60 days, with qualified buildings receiving one of four levels of certification: Platinum, Gold, Silver or Certified.  Properties that don’t meet minimum certification standards are offered expert recommendations on how to improve connectivity.

In the Jack Resnick & Sons Manhattan office portfolio, 11 of the firm’s 13 commercial properties totaling nearly 5 million square feet of Class A office space are now Wired Certified. The company’s 199 Water Street, 255 Greenwich Street and 250 Hudson Street have received WiredScore’s coveted Platinum Wired Certification; 1755 Broadway, 110 East 59th Street, 315 Hudson Street, 880 Third Avenue, 485 Madison Avenue, 8 West 40th Street and 161 William Street received WiredScore’s Gold Wired Certification; and 133 East 58th Street achieved Silver Wired Certification.

“Jack Resnick & Sons is thrilled to announce that we have earned 11 Wired Certifications which were granted on choice, infrastructure, redundancy, resiliency, and flexibility of our broadband offerings,” stated Jonathan Resnick, president of Jack Resnick & Sons.

“Today’s commercial tenants have critical connectivity needs with respect to bandwidth, reliability and redundancy, and if a building doesn’t meet their standards, they’ll seek out a property that does,” Mr. Resnick added. “As a true broadband connectivity benchmark, Wired Certification helps us differentiate and market our buildings to attract and retain elite tenants.”

Launched in 2013 as WiredNYC by the Bloomberg Administration in partnership with the New York City Economic Development Corp., WiredScore has since certified over 350 properties totaling over 175 million square feet of office space in 30 cities.  WiredScore is adding over 15 million square feet of new office space certifications per month.  To date, information on the connectivity of over 750 buildings nationwide has been added to the public WiredScore database on WiredScore.com.

Many of the nation’s leading commercial owners have already adopted Wired Certification to promote the technology of their assets including Jack Resnick & Sons, SL Green, Brookfield, Jamestown, Paramount Group, Beacon Capital, Empire State Realty Trust, Clarion Partners, Washington Real Estate Investment Trust, Columbia Property Trust, Brandywine and Hines.

Wired Certification provides owners, asset managers and leasing brokers with a revolutionary new tool in leasing and marketing of their properties, and assures prospective tenants that certified buildings provide the access to the most cutting-edge, high-quality and reliable internet services available.

“Access to fast, reliable and robust internet connectivity has become a vital component of the modern workspace, especially for emerging technology, advertising, media and information technology (TAMI) companies,” said Arie Barendrecht, founder and CEO of WiredScore.  “For a growing number of these tenants, connectivity can be the deciding factor in selecting office locations.  The Wired Certified designation provides not only a distinct marketing advantage for these properties, but also provides owners and asset managers with a thorough examination of their current connectivity status and how to improve it.”
