The Eisen on Parsons
COLUMBUS, OH – 9/16/16 – Construction is now complete at The Eisen, a mixed-used development on the southeast corner of Parsons Avenue and E. Whittier Street and the most recently revitalized property in the Parsons Avenue commercial corridor. Developer Midwest Atlantic Group collaborated with property management firm Solutions for Real Estate, commercial real estate brokerage Ohio Equities and designer Nicholas Evans to renovate and restore the historical buildings, helping to enhance the quality of life for residents and create a stable business environment on Columbus’ South Side.
The first floor of the mixed-use property houses a blend of new, local businesses which reflects the diverse character of this neighborhood. Tenants include:
Sacred Hand Tattoo Society – 960 Parsons Avenue
Evans Deventer – 964 Parsons Avenue
Metro PCS – 968 Parsons Avenue
Movements of Qi – A Wellness Collective – 535 Whittier Street
The Eisen also includes one retail space for lease at 970 Parsons, the long-time neighborhood bar previously known as Tims, the Avenue, and The Whitt’s End.
The second floor of the property offers residential units featuring hardwood floors, granite countertops and exposed brick walls.
Eisen, which is German for “iron”, pays homage to the German immigrants who first settled Columbus’ South Side as well as to the steel and iron foundries that historically clustered nearby. The Eisen started over 18 months ago as a local collaboration between Mark Longstreth, John Mally and Nicholas Evans, close friends from their days at Bishop Hartley High School who wanted to contribute to the ongoing revitalization of the Parsons Avenue corridor. Longstreth, of Midwest Atlantic Group, has partnered with family friend Mitch Deminski at Solutions for Real Estate to develop the property. Mally is an agent at Ohio Equities who is marketing the properties. Evans, of Evans Deventer, is an artist who designed the residential units as well as the exterior updates to the buildings.
The open house for the property is on Thursday, September 22nd from 4:30-7. There will be tours of the renovated upstairs available units, the commercial space, and the leasable bar area. Guests are asked to RSVP to the email@example.com or 614-282-0232.
