Dr. Jake Deutsch, Veteran ER Doctor and National Medical News Correspondent, to Head "Cure Urgent Care" First NYC Location


--Upper West Side to Benefit from Walk-in Emergency Clinic--

NEW YORK, January 14, 2013 – Jake Deutsch, MD, a seasoned Emergency Medicine Physician and national medical news correspondent, announced plans to open Cure Urgent Care’s first New York City location in May 2014.  The location, at 2689 Broadway (between 102rd and 103th Streets) on the Upper West Side is the organization’s second in the region, and will serve local residents with a walk-in clinic focused on the delivery of ambulatory care in a dedicated medical facility.

The long-term, 4,463-square-foot ground-floor lease was arranged by Colliers International.

The first Cure Urgent Care, located in Huntington, Long Island, is set to open by April 2014. Cure Urgent Care plans to roll out at least five additional centers in New York City over the next eighteen months.

Dr. Deutsch, a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, served as Chief Resident at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan and has been on staff at the Hackensack University Medical Center for the last 10 years. Known as the "most efficient” doctor with exceptional bed side manner, Dr. Deutsch  has consistently received the highest recognition of patient satisfaction and is ranked one of the highest performers among his medical colleagues.  In addition to clinical work, Dr. Deutsch has also been a trusted medical source on CNN and Fox News on a regular basis. Additionally, he been featured on the Dr. Oz show and contributed to Condé Nast’s Details Magazine blog, The Daily Details, answering readers’ health questions.  Elan Katz, a longtime healthcare retail entrepreneur, partnered with Deutsch on the venture.
