DisruptCRE NYC Announces Venue and Executive Panel for March 31st Conference

On Thursday, March 31st, 2016, DisruptCRE will host their 2nd Annual New York City conference at 28 Liberty Street on the 60th Floor from 12PM-6PM. Attendees will gather to learn about the latest industry technologies, how they incorporate within their buildings and workday, and discuss what the future holds for commercial real estate and tech.

 

Originally built as One Chase Manhattan Plaza, 28 Liberty is an iconic, 2.2 million square foot landmarked commercial office building situated in the center of Lower Manhattan. Tenants of the building enjoy direct access to four subway lines from the lobby, while entry to the new Fulton Center/World Trade Center transit complex lies just two blocks to the north.

 

DisruptCRE will feature an Executive panel titled “State of CREtech: The Executive’s POV” including some of commercial real estate’s most influential and well recognized professionals. Discussion will center around the technology products and services that are currently in the marketplace, what are they investing in or implementing now, and what is coming up on the horizon that gets them excited.

Moderating the panel is, Aaron Block, Co-Founder & Managing Director of MetaPropNYC. Metaprop is a real estate technology accelerator in New York and recently graduated its first cohort. Aaron is an early stage investor with a passion for building high growth real estate and technology businesses.

Adam Stanley, Global CIO of Cushman & Wakefield. Adam provides strategic and operational direction for the firm’s client facing and colleague technology systems and infrastructure across all global business lines. Drawing on his more than 20 years of industry experience and as an integral member of the global executive team, Adam is a change agent with proven success driving growth, performance, talent retention and innovation. Under Adam’s leadership, DTZ was named to the CIO 100 for 2015 by CIO Magazine. Adam has also been honored as one of Chicago’s Tech 50, Huffington Post’s Most Social CIOs, and the InfoWorld CTO 25.

 

Prior to joining the firm, Adam served as Technology and Security Services Director for Aviva PLC, a FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 insurer and asset manager and the world’s sixth largest insurer.

 

Adam’s numerous global and U.S. leadership roles have also included serving as the Global Chief Technology Officer of Aon, a global provider of risk management, insurance and reinsurance brokerage.

 

He is deeply involved in the civic and charitable community and in addition to Board roles provides pro-bono technology, operations and organizational strategy advisory services to non-profit organizations.

 

Kevin Maggiacomo serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sperry Van Ness International Corp. (SVNIC), the commercial real estate franchisor of the globally recognized  SVN® brand. He is responsible for the company’s mission, vision and promoting expansion across the United States and internationally. Maggiacomo has facilitated SVN’s growth from seven offices in 2001, to more than 190 today. The company continues to grow with a strong focus on expanding into international markets, in particular Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates. Maggiacomo explains, “International expansion has always been a part of the SVN platform. Jordan Nof, Head of Investments at Tusk Ventures is an investment professional with significant experience in venture capital, private equity, and investment banking. As Head of Investments, Jordan oversees all aspects of the firm’s venture capital investment practice.

                                                                       

Prior to joining Tusk Ventures, Jordan spent six years as a Director at Blackstone. Reporting directly to the CTO, Jordan focused on the development of Blackstone’s corporate venture capital portfolio. He led Blackstone’s first investment in real estate technology, along with investments in cutting edge FinTech and cybersecurity companies. Jordan actively serves on the investment committee at MetaProp NYC, the first dedicated real estate technology accelerator. In addition, he is an advisory board member to Latch and Flip, two early stage real estate technology startups.

Mitchell Moinian is the Senior Vice President of The Moinian Group. Currently Mitchell is a project manager at the Moinian Group’s 1,174-unit 605 West 42nd Street. He oversees the development, marketing and programming at the 60-story tower. He is also working with Avison Young on the marketing and leasing campaign for Moinian Group’s 3 Hudson Boulevard.

In 2014, Mitchell was recognized as one of the Commercial Observer’s 30 Under 30 of NYC’s Rising Real Estate Stars. Today, he serves as The Moinian Group’s Senior Vice President. Mitchell was only in high school when he became an intern at Cushman & Wakefield in 2006.
