The Candidate

A Marketing leader: The Company is looking to recruit a Director of Marketing to lead the Marketing efforts of a young and fast growth organization. The candidate will have a background and experience in B2B marketing ideally in a real estate related field or in the ecosystem surrounding the real estate.

Their specific skills should include a demonstrable track record of online and offline marketing. In summary, we require an individual with digital marketing, social media marketing, advertising, event, communications, and promotional expertise.

The successful candidate with be intelligent, a self starter with the ability to “get- it – right” first time and well honed work ethic.

Job Summary:

This experienced marketing professional will be responsible for all marketing activities of the company.

  • All marketing, promotional and communications efforts

  • User lifecycle management

  • Audience acquisition and retention

You will initiate and manage all aspects of the online / offline marketing mix. In the early stages, you will be responsible for managing the existing user base, bringing the platform to market, driving membership, user and partner participation and retention. Your methods will include social media marketing, which will require proven experience with LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Blogging.  Trade show participation and management will be a key aspect of the role.  Driving and managing corporate communications and PR will also be critical. You will be skilled in copywriting and producing creative assets for marcomm initiatives. This candidate needs to be comfortable and capable in a sales environment, have a good grasp of web technology and products.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the short, medium and log term objectives of the company

  • Understand how marketing, in the context of the job role supports these objectives

  • Devise a “Strategic Marketing Plan” that meets these objectives together with monthly, and quarterly KPI’s, budgets and resource plan.

  • Gain senior management and team approval for implementation

  • Produce appropriate support documentation and manage ongoing implementation and performance of all programs

  • Negotiation and management of third party vendors, including PR firms

  • User base acquisition and retention

    • Design and implement the user base acquisition strategy through clearly defined stages of pre-launch, launch and stabilization. This will include on-line and off-line promotional activities

    • Manage all aspects of the Company’s consumer acquisition activities, including online advertising, search engine campaigns, retargeting, social media promotion, etc. The manager will develop programs to continually test and refine the Company’s user acquisition activities, to drive the most cost effective campaigns, and ensure rapid growth of membership and usage

    • Manage all online retention activities and initiatives, user email campaigns, newsletters to maintain high consumer retention rates and high referral rates

  • Manage all the company’s online presences and postings, responses to develop large followings and viral consumer attention.

  • Develop and manage offline promotional activities and events to raise the profile of the company

Requirements:

  • Candidates for this role must have a proven track in marketing ideally in the Real Estate investment banking, property development or construction industry.

  • BA/BS in marketing or business required, MBA preferred

  • Must have at least 8 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years of experience in online B2B marketing

  • Demonstrable experience in driving online customer acquisition

  • Must be a team player with the personal drive, passion and enthusiasm to excel in a fast-paced, fast-growing company in a rapidly changing market

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, written & presentation skills
