Cushman & Wakefield Sells Mixed-Use Building in Washington Heights

A mixed-use building, located at 605 West 179th Street between Wadsworth and Saint Nicholas Avenues in Manhattan’s Washington Heights, was sold in an all-cash transaction valued at $1,300,000.

The four-story walkup building contains approximately 3,648 square feet and sits on an 18.75’ x 100’ lot.  It consists of six residential units, with five one-bedroom and one two-bedroom unit, and two basement commercial units.  The sale price equates to approximately $356 per square foot.

The property benefits from its proximity to George Washington Bridge Bus Station which is currently under renovation, as well as neighborhood anchors such as Yeshiva University and New York Presbyterian Hospital.  Public transportation is easily accessible via the 1 train stop at Saint Nicholas Avenue and West 181st Street, the A express train stop at Fort Washington Avenue and West 181st Street, and the numerous bus lines which service the area.

“There was a tremendous amount of interest in the property and, ultimately, both the buyer and seller were pleased with the outcome,” said Cushman & Wakefield’s Lev Kimyagarov, who exclusively handled this transaction with Robert M. Shapiro.
