Cushman & Wakefield Arranges 21,000-Sq.-Ft. Lease Expansion for Bank of Tokyo
JERSEY CITY, N.J., Feb. 12, 2013 - The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. has added an additional 21,000 square feet of office space to its already significant Jersey City presence, boosting its occupancy to approximately 283,000 square feet at Harborside Financial Center Plaza 3 on the city's waterfront. This latest expansion follows the addition of 100,274 square feet in mid-2012, with The Bank of Tokyo once again represented by Curtis Foster of Cushman & Wakefield's East Rutherford, N.J. office and Fred Smith and James Hewlette of the firm's New York-Midtown office.
"This expansion was a response to additional growth by The Bank of Tokyo that is project-driven," said Foster of the five-year lease with a five-year renewal option. "The Bank has a specific project they are working on now that required them to take this additional space."
Harborside Financial Center Plaza 3 is part of Mack-Cali Realty Corporation's 3.1 million-square-foot Harborside Financial Center, consisting of five office towers, a retail component, hotel, planned luxury multi-family residential, and additional sites for development.
