CRE // Tech Releases 2017 Mid-Year Report

Report features research, analysis and commercial real estate tech company profiles

New York, NY (October 18, 2017) --  CRE // Tech announced today that the 2017 CRE // Tech Mid-Year Report is now available for free download. This bi-annual report is considered one of the most important analysis of the commercial real estate tech sector and provides a detailed analysis of the sector’s overall trends as well as includes a comprehensive listing of the industry’s leading startups.

The first report released under The News Funnel’s ownership features an analysis on employment by value chain, a 2017 funding overview, companies founded year over year, venture capital deal volume analysis, pre-money valuation and profile over fifty of the most innovative startups and service providers in commercial real estate tech.

One of the main takeaways from this year’s Report is that overall funding is trending down in terms of total number of investments and the aggregate dollar amount of what was invested in this Mid-Year analysis. What remains to be seen is whether this reflects the industry maturing as a sector, hitting a plateau or there are more significant trends occurring in the funding cycle.

“The 2017 CRE // Tech Mid-Year Report has always been considered the “bible” of the CRE tech sector,” states Michael Beckerman, CEO, CRE // Tech. “As this young sector continues to evolve and grow, it’s more important than ever to provide the entire industry with one source for comprehensive data and analysis, as well as catalog the best startups in the space. This most recent Report has some really interesting and informative trend analysis that clearly reflect the fluidity of the sector as well as the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead,” added Beckerman.

For the second year, the report is co-edited by Anthony Dominquez, CEO of AtlasX, one of the most respected thought-leaders and researchers in the CRE tech space.

“The CRE // Tech Mid-Year Report analyzes employment, funding and overall development of the commercial real estate technology sector from 2013 to June 2017,” states Anthony Dominguez, Co-Editor, CRE // Tech Report. “At CRE // Tech, we place a great deal of importance on providing the ecosystem with critical data and analysis on the intersections of commercial real estate and technology. Our goal with this Report is to ensure that startups, investors, commercial real estate professionals and thought-leaders have the best information on the commercial real estate tech sector so that they can continue to make the most informed decisions and in doing so, continue to help the ecosystem thrive in the future,” added Dominguez.
